Our offer for youAs a QA Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through comprehensive manual and automated testing. You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and UI designers to define and implement test strategies, integration testing, and automation frameworks. By taking ownership of the testing process, you will help improve test coverage, optimize release cycles, and ensure a seamless user experience. 
 
YOUR TEAM 
 
The Tech team consists of around 10 individuals who work remotely or at the office in Berlin city center. Besides the development team, Xayn’s technical lead and an external consultant team handle various tasks related to providing Xayn’s development team with the necessary technical environment, ensuring the smooth operation and scalability of Xayn’s AI applications.

Your responsibilities

Take ownership of the entire testing process and set up a thorough testing strategy, ensuring quality across all development stages Perform manual testing, while identifying opportunities for automation Design and execute integration tests, taking responsibility for their implementation

Maintain a strong focus on manual testing, particularly for core features Support the setup and optimization of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions

Utilize and expand test automation frameworks like Cypress to improve test coverageWork with at least one programming language (e.g. JavaScript, TypeScript or Python) to support automation efforts

About you

Work permit: EU

Language: English (fluent)

Strong manual testing expertise, with the ability to design and execute comprehensive test cases.

Experience in test automation, identifying areas for automation and implementing solutions with Cypress or similar frameworks.

Proficiency in test strategy, process ownership, and integration testing, ensuring high test coverage and structured workflows.

Ideally programming skills in at least one language, preferably JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools, such as GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins.

Experience with bug tracking and test management, using Jira or similar tools.

The AI startup Xayn develops Noxtua, Europe’s first sovereign Legal AI. Noxtua helps lawyers analyze and draft legal documents and research legal questions while being legally competent and compliant. Hosted in the EU, Noxtua meets high standards of confidentiality in handling client data, professional secrecy (e.g. Section 203 German Criminal Code, Section 43e German Federal Code for Lawyers), and European data protection.
